On a beautiful Sunday, the Thorold Lions Club held the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides! This fundraising walk raises money to train service dogs for people with vision disabilities, hearing disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, seizure disabilities and diabetes. Getting a service dog can be a life-changing event. The Lions Club funds a training centre in Oakville, Ontario where service dogs are trained. Dogs are provided for free to individuals who need them. It’s an amazing program and we’re happy to support the cause.

It costs $25,000 on average to train a service dog. The Thorold Lions Club raised approximately $850 towards service dog training. We hope you’ll support us next year at the 2018 Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides!
