Protecting Thorold’s Environment

092115104755trees_cemeteryThorold is a beautiful city. We’d like to do our part to keep it that way and to improve it for future generations. The Thorold Lions Club does regular cleanups along the Welland Canal trail to help keep it clean. We’ve also planted trees and helped out other community cleanup efforts to help keep our city and environment healthy.

In addition, we are environmental activists, calling upon our elected leaders to make decisions that reflect the need to keep our environment clean. We work with other organizations to help educate each other and the broader Thorold community about situations that require the voices of the citizenry to be heard.

On the agenda right now is the proposed waste incinerator in Allanburg.
