The Thorold Lions have adopted Collier Rd. from Sullivan Ave. to Beaverdams Rd. As part of this year’s Earth Day / Thorold City Cleanup, we did our first ever road cleaning.
Wow. Lots of garbage. 17 bags of garbage and a bunch of hazardous waste (i.e. needles) flagged for city staff to pick up. We even pulled a propane BBQ out of a ditch!
We’ll be doing this again later this year, but we hope the good people of Thorold and those who visit us will show some pride and respect towards our environment and stop dumping garbage where it doesn’t belong. It takes everyone to keep our community clean and our environment safe.
If you want to help make Thorold a better place to live, consider joining the Thorold Lions Club. We don’t bite. We roar! 🙂
